Jammy Stuffed French Toast

 
Acacia Honey Drink

Ingredients (serves 2):
4 Slices of Thick Bread
100g Cream Cheese, softened
2 Tbsp Alce Nero Strawberry Jam
½ Tsp Lemon Zest
4 Strawberries, chopped; more for garnishing
½ Cup Fresh Milk
2 Tbsp Melted Butter
1 Tsp Vanilla Extract
2 Tsp Sugar
1 Tsp Ground Cinnamon
3 Eggs, beaten

Method:

  1. In a bowl, combine the cream cheese, jam, chopped strawberries, and lemon zest together. Set aside.
  2. In a shallow dish, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, sugar, and cinnamon.
  3. In a large skillet over medium, heat enough butter to coat the pan. Be careful not to overheat the butter as it may burn.
  4. Place a slice of bread into the milk and egg mixture for 10 seconds each side. Once coated, place them into the skillet. Cook each slice until golden brown, about 4-5 minutes a side.
  5. Repeat the process with the remaining bread.
  6. Spread one slice of bread with the cream cheese mixture to your desired thickness and top with another slice of bread. Garnish with more strawberries and a sprinkle of cinnamon. Serve warm!
